LDAP/AMS
Directory Services Team offers LDAP, RADIUS, and Shibboleth(SSO) services as authentication methods for UNT web sites and other UNT computer services. These services utilize our enterprise authentication credentials which are generated from EIS, proprogated and synchronized with Identity Manager, and managed by our end users with AMS.
Identity Manager
Novell Identity Management is a premier account provisioning system considered by Gartner to be a leader in the industry. Utilizing this product, accounts are provisioned from EIS to several account directories and databases across the UNT system.
Along with Account information, passwords also traverse the system to remain in sync amongst our disparate systems in our heterogeneous environment. UNT at Dallas and HSC in Fort Worth both benefit from this integration.
Authentication Services
LDAP Authentication Services for campus websites and applications simplify account and password management. This service can be utilized to authenticate a person using their UNT enterprise credentials.
AMS/Password Mgmt
AMS, or the Account Management System website, is a custom solution which provides the following services.
- Account Activation for New Employees and Students
- Self-Service Enterprise Password Management
- Password Policy Enforcement
- Temporary Wireless Account Management
- Help Desk functionality for account troubleshooting
