Should your BlackBerry device be stolen or lost, you can act to protect access to the sensitive information on the device. You will need to immediately contact your area’s IT Support staff or the UNT Helpdesk (940)565-2324 to request your device be remotely disabled and/or locked, or we can also have the device securely wiped as well. This procedure is handled from the BES Server itself, so knowing and contacting your area IT Support Staff will expedited this procedure, as they will need to contact us to facilitate this request. It is recommended that if you do not have a back up copy of your mobile data (personal applications, contacts, etc.) you most likely will not be able to easily recover this data. BACKUP your mobile data with the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
